About Cheff Ranch and Legacy Outfitters

We are the fourth generation of Cheff outfitters, guiding hunters, fishermen and adventure seekers into the heart of the Bob Marshall Wilderness for 86 years. The Bob Marshall Wilderness (also known as “The Bob”) is a vast wilderness of over 1 million acres. It is prime habitat for elk, bears, mule deer, whitetail deer, wolves, mountain lions, and an abundance of fish.

Our Camp is located at the mouth of Bartlett Creek on the South Fork of the Flathead River. Which is approximately 60 miles long from its confluence to the Hungry Horse Dam outside of the Bob.

We offer guided hunting, fishing, and camping trips during the summer and fall. We also offer Drop Camps, where we pack your gear into the Bob for you while you camp/hike/fish/float on your own.

Our horses are Tennessee Walkers and Thoroughbreds. They have been going into the Bob their entire lives, they are sure footed animals that offer the smoothest rides. Once in the Bob we provide full service trips that include guides, hot meals, tents, and knowledge of the area and stock.

If you are looking for a real wilderness hunt experience, the best fishing in Montana, adventure, or just to take a break from the fast pace of life, the Bob Marshall Wilderness is the place to go! We would be more than happy to help you experience the Bob in any way you wish. Please feel free to call or email us any time for more information!
